We are two sisters on a mission to tell stories, connect, and deliver an experience unlike any you’ve had in front of a camera. While we try our best to capture all special moments in your life, weddings are turning out to be one of our favorite milestones to document and we like to dedicate a lot of time to our couples.

Karley got married to the love of her life this past March. While we’ve been photographing weddings for a few years, the experience on the other side of the camera was one we were highly looking forward to. We had followed a few well known photographers for a while and finally picked “the one” for us (yes, I felt like it was my wedding too, haha -Kendra). Her style was consistent with ours, she was an award winning photographer with loads of experience, and she mentors other photographers. We knew that no matter what happened, we would end up with amazing photos.

Long story short, we didn’t do near enough due diligence. We were let down in more ways than one and it lit a huge fire in our souls to make sure NO bride ever experiences what Karley did, ever again. We want to know our couples to the core. We want capture personality so future generations feel like they were there.

It’s easy enough to push a button, it takes passion, care, and years of training as a true artist to tell your story. We are passionate and it fuels our desire to truly get to know you, understand your love, and tell your unique story on that special day. You deserve your day to be surrounded by people who are passionate about what they do, just as you are passionate about the person you are giving your heart to.

Our commitment to you is to work harder than any other wedding photographer, to not only be a vendor, but a friend showering you with care and comfort. Know that everything will be taken care of; relax, and enjoy your day as you should.

Meet Kendra

I am a mother, wife, artist, dreamer, believer, and entrepreneur.  I live each day knowing my God is in control and I strive to live a life that is pleasing to Him!

I am now a full time photographer and a full time mom to my two beautiful babies, Jade and Jacoby. My husband helps my inlaws run their family machine business.  With our family running two businesses our lives are chaotic and crazy 100% of the time. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I wish I could sit here and tell you I have always wanted to be a photographer, however this wasn’t ever in my plan; I went to school for Entrepreneurship, but didn’t know what I wanted to do with my degree. When my daughter was born she was in the NICU for 6 weeks and had multiple surgeries. I was crushed when we weren’t able to take those precious newborn photos everyone else had. When we finally made it home I couldn’t put my camera down. Here I am today, capturing precious moments for everyone I can.

I cherish my photos of my babies – they are my world. I want to provide the same for our clients. I have a huge place in my heart for this profession and what God has allowed me to do with it thus far.

Meet Karley

To describe myself in a few sentences seems so impossible, so I will stick the basics. I am married to the most amazing man in the world, Keith Carter. We tied the knot in March 2017 after being together for almost three years. He is the love of my life, my motivator, (because I'm not a morning person), and my own personal comedian. As for more about me, I love horse back riding, my dogs, wine, books, photography, wine, traveling, anything Scottish, and did I mention wine?

Oh and I guess I should also mention that I have the best career in the world. If you guessed photography, you guessed right!

I love being able to working with my sister (Kendra) because where I am creative, and flow from one idea to the next without second thoughts; she handles 99.9% of the business end of the company. Also, she keeps my craziness in line, something she has done since the day I was born (haha).

My background in photography starts with my grandmother’s digital camera I would steal from the kitchen table and upon returning it, leave dozens of photos of bugs, horses, dogs, and trees. My love for capturing life’s moments grew as I continued to try and memorialize landscapes and wildlife encounters. Now, I am very happy to be a partner in Southern Sisters Photography where I have discovered the joy and happiness in helping other people, like you, capture the beautiful, jaw dropping memories and moments in their own lives.
