Marissa had always dreamed of an outdoor, woodsy wedding, however she and Kyle both have such a strong faith in God and the sacrament of being married in a church… so, Marissa’s amazing mother decided to bring her vision indoors. AND MY OH MY did she accomplish just that! I walked in to the church and literally stopped dead in my tracks taking it all in.
Their day started with the girls getting ready in the fellowship hall and the guys getting ready in the youth classroom. Throughout the getting ready process Marissa & Kyle were writing love notes and having their sweet friends deliver them to keep the tradition of not seeing each other before the ceremony.
When the ceremony rolled around, we were sooo ready with our cameras pointing at Kyle; we just knew there would be waterworks, which caused us to tear up as well. These two have such a strong bond that started to grow the moment they saw each other.
We wrapped up family portraits and captured a few sweet bride and groom moments before heading over to the Red Barn (which by the way, was AMAZING). We reaaallly love this place. The owners told us about the history of the building and all the work they did getting it fixed up. They did all of the work themselves over a 6 month span and I was seriously impressed.
We spent the rest of the evening surrounded by their loved ones; most of them had come down all the way from Minnesota, Kyle’s home state. Everyone danced… a lot and like no one was watching! A lot of the guys and girls even busted out into a battle.
We sent the bride & groom off with a perfect Sparkler exit and have been dying to get this blog up ever since.
