We have known Albert since we were little (like, boys have cooties, little) as his mom used to work with ours. While we weren’t close to him, we felt as though we knew him very well; his mom has always been super proud of the man she was raising. We didn’t get to meet his bride-to-be until much later in life when she contacted us to take pictures of their first born, Mylah.
After a few sessions with Danielle, we asked her to join our team as a photo booth technician and we couldn’t be more happy that she said yes. Little did we know, we would soon get the chance to photograph her big day.
Their day started off with the ladies getting ready upstairs while the men hung out on the first floor of the venue. As her guests are aware, we had a little set back before the ceremony; the preacher was MIA. In our experience, bride’s DO NOT handle a mishap very well, let alone when there is a chance the ceremony won’t happen. Danielle handled it 110% better than I would have had I been in her shoes. lol Shena, with the Ranch, quickly jumped on the phone and found the SWEETEST woman who came to their rescue. We had some time to fill while she made her way to us so, we asked Danielle and Albert if they would be open to a “first look”. This is still something that is pretty unheard of here in South Texas and Danielle thought it was something we made up to make her feel better. lol
We have been dying for the chance to photograph a first look, and they both said yes. <3 OMG!!!! IT WAS AMAZING!!!
We captured a super special moment and arrived back at the ceremony location just as the preacher was walking up to take her place in front of the bride & groom’s family & friends.
We wrapped up the ceremony, had fun with family & bridal party photos, and headed in for a night of drinking, dancing, & CAKE!! <3 Definitely sneaked a piece… or two. 😉
Danielle & Albert, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for not only trusting us to capture your day, but to change it up when you were unsure of what was going on. We will always have a special place in our hearts for you two and your beautiful little girls. xoxo
